Lightwave, Toaster & Flyer Seminars
Do you want to learn more about the computer that you
make your living with, and how to make yourself more
productive? On July 11th ,12th, and 13th, Crimson Tech (a
Cambridge based Computer & Broadcast Video Dealer) will be
holding 5 Seminars to help you learn more about your machines.
Day 1 morning (9:30 am - 1 p.m.) -
About your Amiga
Most people that use the Amiga don't know enough about
the operating system and therefore have many technical
problems. Flyer owners in particular will be interested in
this seminar because the configuration of your operating system
effects the performance of your Flyer. With Q&A to follow.
Day 1 afternoon (1:30 p.m. - 5 p.m.) - Toaster
4.0
An introduction to the new way the Toaster works.
Tutorials on the new Toaster CG & the new Toaster Paint will
round out the day. With Q&A to follow.
Day 2 morning (9:30 am - 1 p.m.) -
Flyer
How to navigate in a Non-Linear environment. Tutorials
on the best ways to digitize, cut, and paste your programs
together. Optimizing disk space and integrating Audio, CG &
Framestores will also make your editing life easier. With Q&A
to follow.
Day 2 afternoon (1:30 p.m. - 5 p.m.) - Intro.
to Lightwave 4.0
The beginners guide to working in 3D. With so many new
people starting to work with Lightwave at the same time this
will be a great chance to collectively get over the learning
curve. Tutorials will include getting around Layout and
Modeler by Flyer a few Logos. Saving your animations to the
Flyer and the PAR/PVR. With Q&A to follow.
Day 3 (9:30 am - 1 / 1:30 - 5 p.m.)-
Advanced Lightwave
How to use Lightwave to earn a living. Professional
techniques that make Lightwave one of the best 3D programs.
Tutorials will go over areas of Lightwave and Modeler that help
you create realism in a fake world. With Q&A to follow.
These Seminars will be taught by Professional Power users:
Marc Dole - (Video Producer and 3-D Animator who has
been using the Toaster to make a living since 1991, and
Training others since 1993.) Marc will be teaching Days 1 & 2
with an Amiga 2000 and 4000 equipped with Flyers and PARs. The
Intro. to Lightwave will also utilize a 233mhz Alpha based
workstation.
Mark Thompson - (Host of the In Focus Lightwave tape
series, Award winning 3-D Animator & Betatester for just about
anything that has to do with Lightwave.) Mark will be teaching
Day 3 on a 300mhz Alpha based workstation equipped with the new
DPS PVR card.
Any 1 day is $150, with a 2 day registration discounted
to $250 and all 3 days for $300 per person.
